Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Capstone Huntsville Concrete and Masonry to do. When we say "we", "us" or "our", we mean Capstone Huntsville Concrete and Masonry and our crew. When we say "you", we mean the person using the site or hiring us.

By using this site, asking for an estimate or booking a job, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us. If a signed estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the signed document wins for that job.

What we do

We're a masonry contractor in Huntsville, AL, and we work on concrete, brick, block and stone for homes in Huntsville and the cities around it. You can see our services on the home page and read more about us on our About page.

The service descriptions on this site are general information to help you understand the work. They aren't a promise that a certain method, material or result fits your property. We confirm what your job needs after we've seen it in person.

Estimates and pricing

We give free estimates at your property, with no pressure and no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, so it covers the scope of work written on it and nothing more.

Masonry sometimes hides problems until the job is open, like soft or rotted material behind a wall, poor soil, buried debris or damage from earlier repairs. If we find something like that, we stop and talk with you before doing any work beyond the estimate. Extra work and its cost need your approval first, in writing or by text or email.

Prices on an estimate hold for the period written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, and we may need to update the price before we schedule the job.

Anything you change after you accept an estimate, such as a different material, a larger area or a new layout, can change the price and the schedule. We'll tell you how before we go ahead.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

Once you accept an estimate, we give you a start date. Dates are our best plan, not a guarantee, because masonry and concrete depend on the weather. We don't pour concrete or lay mortar in heavy rain or when it's too cold for it to cure properly, so we'll move the date if the weather won't let us do the job right.

Delays can also come from material shortages, permit or inspection timing, or conditions at your property. We'll keep you posted and reschedule as soon as we can. We aren't responsible for losses caused by delays outside our control.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please tell us as early as you can by calling (256) 417-4326 or using our contact page. If we've already ordered special materials or started work, you may be responsible for those costs, as your estimate or contract states.

Your part in the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to have the right to authorize work on the property. Please tell us about anything we should know before we start, such as sprinkler lines, buried cables, septic systems, property lines or rules from a homeowners association.

Getting HOA approval is your responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing. If a permit is needed, the estimate or contract for your job will say who handles it.

Payment

Your estimate or contract sets the deposit, if there is one, the payment schedule and the ways you can pay. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is done.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's paid. Alabama law may give contractors the right to file a lien on a property for unpaid work, and we keep that right as the law allows.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

We're licensed and fully insured, and satisfaction is guaranteed on every job. If something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come back to look at it and make it right.

Brick, block, stone and concrete are natural materials, so color, texture and shading will vary from samples, photos and older work on your house. Concrete can develop hairline cracks as it cures and settles, and that's normal for the material, not a defect. New mortar and repairs can take time to blend in with older masonry.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as soil movement, settling of the house, tree roots, flooding, poor drainage we didn't install, freeze damage from water left standing, de-icing salts, heavy vehicles on surfaces not built for them, misuse, or later changes and repairs by someone else.

Beyond what we promise on this page and in your written estimate or contract, we make no other warranties, spoken or implied, to the extent the law allows. Product warranties from manufacturers belong to the manufacturer, and we'll pass along what they give us.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or emotional distress.

This website is offered as is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's free of errors or always available, and we aren't liable for losses from relying on general information on the site. Links to other websites are there for your convenience, and we don't control their content.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with something, please call us first at (256) 417-4326 or reach us through our contact page. Most problems get solved with a conversation and a visit, and we'd rather fix it than argue about it.

If we can't work it out ourselves within a reasonable time, we both agree to try mediation before going to court, unless the claim belongs in small claims court.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Any court case about them will be brought in the courts that serve Madison County, Alabama, unless the law requires a different place.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one that applies. A change won't affect a job you've already signed an estimate or contract for unless we both agree to it.

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

Questions about these terms

If you have a question about these terms or about your job, call Capstone Huntsville Concrete and Masonry at (256) 417-4326 or send a message from our contact page. We respond within 1 business day.
